ALLOA’S fight to regain their place in the Scottish Championship is expected to begin on July 31.
The Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) posted an announcement on Twitter last Friday, May 6, stating all four divisions are scheduled to begin on the last Saturday in July.
Fixtures for the whole 2021-22 season will be published on Tuesday, June 15 at 9am.
Matchday one of the Scottish League Cup is currently scheduled for the weekend of July 10-11.
Alloa will find themselves in League One for the first time since the 2017-18 where they finished third and qualified for the Championship after beating Dumbarton 2-1 in the play-off.
They finished that season with 17 wins from 36 games, collecting 60 points to seal a play-off position and will be hoping for similar this year as they attempt to bounce straight back.
