ALLOA picked up their second win of the season as they came from behind to take all three points at Arbroath.

The Wasps rounded-off their league cup campaign with victory, finishing in second place with seven points.

Peter Grant's side dispatched Stirling Albion on Tuesday last week, having earlier lost to Hibernian and drawing with Elgin City.

On Saturday, goals from Liam Buchanan and Alan Trouten were enough to edge out Arbroath, with both forwards among the best performers on the day.

Chris Henry........................7

A mixed bag but mostly positive from the youngster who was unfortunate to see a cross fly over his head. Otherwise, made several top stops most notably from his own man, Liam Dick.

Jon Robertson..................6

Was caught out of position on several occasions as Bobby Linn was given the space of Gayfield.

Liam Dick.....................6

Has been one of the bright sparks of the Betfred Cup campaign and Dick was again dangerous down the left.

Scott Taggart................7

The best of the back four. Taggart did well to contain the Arbroath attacking trio.

Andy Graham..............6

The skipper was guilty of giving away a needless free kick which led to the first Arbroath goal.

Kevin Cawley...............7

Moved into a central midfield role and showed in flashes that it could be an inspirational choice from Grant.

Adam Brown................6

Continues to impress and he was clever on the ball and worked hard off it.

Iain Flannigan...............6

Another who will undoubtedly improve with more game time.

Kevin O’Hara (off 76).....6

Has already been taken to the hearts of the Alloa faithful and O’Hara was a menace on Saturday. Drifted into lovely areas.

Alan Trouten (star man)......8

Took his two goals brilliantly and the wee forward had a typically industrious day.

Liam Buchanan (off 65).......7

Showed signs his partnership with O’Hara may prosper into something and was alert to take his goal well.

Robert Thomson (on 65).....6

His long awaited debut and he didn’t take too long to stamp his authority on the game with an assist for Trouten.

Andrew Stirling (on 76).......6

Given time to stretch his legs at the end and looked dangerous for the most part.
