A FIELD of more than 220 players competed at Stirling Golf Club in the first week of May.
They competed in the May Medal and the Nimmo Cup Qualifier on Thursday and Friday, May 4 and 5.
The CSS on Friday was 73, but dropped to 71 the next day. Nine players qualified for the matchplay stages of the Nimmo Cup.
Cameron McCallum beat new member Stewart McLennan on the bih after the players tied.
Cammy made four birdies at holes two, eight, 16 and 18, while Stewart had birdies at the fourth, fifth and 16th. He also holed his second shot at the seventh for an eagle.
David Oates returned the best scratch score with one under par, 71.
Young Fraser O'Rourke maintained his recent run to win Class 2 on net 68. He racked up 11 pars and birdies at the third in a steady card.
Alastair beat John Yuill on the bih for second place, both players were on net 69.
He was only five over par after 14 holes, but three bogeys at the end scarred a great card.
Similar story for John, six over par after 14 holes, but dropped five shots in the end.
Class 3 was won by Andrew Hislop. Playing off 19, he had seven pars on the card.
Former captain Derek Anderson beat Broan Houston on the bih for second place, both players were on net 69.
