LAST weekend Crieff and Starthearn's 1st xv travelled away to Fife Southern for their latest league encounter.

The visitors were winning the game well with an impressive 33-12 scoreline, but the game was abandoned with 15 minutes to play as a Fife Southern player sustained a shoulder injury which turned out to be only muscular.

The 1st's next game will be on the 14th of November at home to Grangemouth 2's at Braidhaugh, there is no rugby at the club at all this weekend due to Remembrance Sunday.

Meanwhile, the U16 side travelled all the way to Wick to play Caithness in the U16 Caledonian Cup last weekend.

The long journey and early start put the visitors at a disadvantage from the off and they were hard pushed by a larger and better prepared Caithness side.

The Crieff & Strathearn side were well beaten, but can take heart from a decent cup run. The highlight for the boys was taking the Orkney scalp, away from home, in the preceding round.
