Crieff and Strathearn hosted their 34th annual sevens last Saturday.

Sixteen teams took part to try and win the Robin McNeil Cup. Teams came from near and far and produced some scintillating rugby in the Spring sunshine.

Alloa were the first winners of the day when they defeated Dundee High in the Bowl.

Morrisons FP were popular Shield winners beating Mull RFC in their final.

So best for last and charity team Pigbarians retained the cup beating a strong Stirling County team in a cracking, fast paced final.

On Sunday it was the children's turn with the Mini Tournament.

Although the players and spectators endured a typical April day of sunshine and showers, all participating teams enjoyed a feast of rugby.

The P4 competition was won by Perthshire who narrowly beat Kinross by one try.

Crieff and Strathearn won the P5 competition and beat Dundee Eagles with the only try in the game.

Ardvreck won the P6 competition and finally Dunfermline won the P7 tournament with their well drilled squad.

So a busy weekend at Braidhaugh to end the season, although the 1st XV players have entered Perthshire, Oban and Mull Sevens, which will provide some interesting rugby in the weeks to come.
