A MAN is being treated in hospital after a serious assault in Stirling on the weekend.

Forth Valley Police Division said it was called to the incident in the Upper Craigs area at around 9.30pm on Sunday, July 5.

Three men were subsequently arrested and charged in connection with the attack, and are due to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Tuesday, July 7.

The male who was taken to hospital is in a critical condition.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “[We] can confirm that two men aged 24 and one man aged 23 have been arrested and charged in connection with a serious assault in Stirling.

“One man was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

“Enquiries remain ongoing and anyone with any information surrounding the incident is asked to contact police on 101 - quoting incident number 3480 of Sunday, July 5 2020.”
