POLICE are urging the public to remain vigilant following a number of break-ins to vehicles in Port Glasgow.
Officers have issued advice to vehicle owners about steps they can take to prevent car crime.
These steps include not leaving valuables on show, hiding keys and fobs, locking doors and closing windows, fitting an alarm/tracker, using physical security such as a steering wheel lock or a lock that fits over the gear lever and securing car number plates.
They have also suggested that locals consider fitting a garage alarm, parking under street lights and installing CCTV.
