ALLOA Rotary Club went back in time over the weekend, as they hosted a 70s rock night at the Dunmar House Hotel.

Members of the club and their friends got kitted out in their finest 70s outfits to dance the night away during the club’s Glam Rock Event.

The club president Lindsey Spowage took the time out to thank youth and vocational convener Gordon Guthrie and his team for organising the special event.

She said: “It’s great to see so many people out tonight remembering their younger days, as all proceeds will go towards allowing our club to run events which we have planned for this year.

“These include the Young Chef Competition, the Young Musician Competition and the Young Photographer Competition.”

The event interval allowed time for hot rolls, a raffle and a best costume competition.

This was interrupted by an amazing performance by the Not so Village People, before Hot Love returned to the stage to close out the evening’s entertainment.

Gordon added: “It’s a great privilege to be able to lead teams in our Rotary Club which want to inspire the future, and it’s brilliant that we can all do that by having fun ourselves.”
