A MAN has died following a car crash in Forth Valley over the weekend.
The 32-year-old was driving a silver Vauxhall Astra on the M9 at around 6.35pm on Saturday, January 14.
The fatal crash happened between junctions 6 and 7, with the driver, who was the sole occupant, pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed for more than five hours to allow for investigations to take place.
Police are appealing for information following a fatal crash on the M9.
Sergeant Lee Walkingshaw of Glenrothes Road Policing said: “Our thoughts are very much with the family of the man who died and our work to establish the full circumstances is ongoing.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have seen the vehicle before the crash or who has dash-cam footage that might help with our inquiries to get in touch.
“I would also appeal to anyone who witnessed the crash and who has not already spoken to police to contact us.”
