AN ANIMAL charity is looking for the owners of a stray cat and budgie that were both found in gardens in the Clackmannanshire area earlier this week.

The Scottish SPCA (SSPCA) was alerted to the animals by members of the public on August 9, and has been caring for them since then.

SSPCA inspector Nicola Liddell said “The female cat was found on Moor Loch Lane in Kincardine. She is dark brown with a grey patch under her chin.

“She is sick and very slow on her feet but she is eating.

“The male budgie fell into a member of the public’s garden on Hallpark in Sauchie and hit a garage on the way down.

“The bird was very weak last night after his fall but has no obvious injuries. He is green and yellow in colour.

“The cat is in the care of our Glasgow Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre, while the budgie is at our Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre and we are keen to return them directly to their owners.

“If anyone has any information about who these pets belong to, please contact our animal helpline on 03000 999 999 and we’ll make arrangements to get them back home.”
