A BODY has been found in a river in Forth Valley.
Emergency services recovered the body of a man in his sixties from the River Carron in Larbert early today (Thursday, July 30).
It is understood the man had earlier been reported missing after failing to return from a fishing trip.
A police spokesperson said: "Around 9.50am on Thursday, July 30, police recovered the body of a man in his sixties from the riverbanks of the River Carron, Larbert.
"There would appear to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
