NO DEATHS linked to coronavirus have been recorded in Clackmannanshire for three weeks.

Latest data from National Records of Scotland (NRS) shows the last local death where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate occurred in the week beginning June 29.

The most recent data was published on Wednesday, July 29, and covers the period from December 30, 2019, up to July 26, 2020.

The total number of deaths linked to the virus in Clackmannanshire remains at 48.

Of those 48 deaths, 35 occurred in care homes, 12 in hospital, and one at a home or other non-institutional setting.

In the Forth Valley area, the health board has recorded 239 deaths where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.

And in Scotland overall, the figure stands at 4,201.

Of those deaths across the country, 46 per cent occurred in care homes, another 46 per cent in hospitals, and seven were at a home or other non-institutional setting.

More than three quarters (77 per cent) of all coronavirus deaths to date in Scotland were of people aged 75 or above.
