OMD and Manic Street Preachers will headline Party at the Palace in Linlithgow this summer, officials have announced.

The Manics bring down the curtain on the Saturday night, with OMD - Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark - closing the main stage on Sunday.

The Snuts will also play Saturday's main stage along with Becky Hill, Toploader, Luke La Volpe, Mark Sharp & The Bicycle Thieves, Stephanie Cheape and Luna the Professor.

Hut Dub Time Machine are confirmed for the main stage on Sunday, as are The Brand New Heavies, Peat & Diesel, Space, Be Charlotte, Johnny Mac & The Faithful and Pork Pie.

Others scheduled to play across the weekend include Club Beirut, Jennifer Ewan Band, Hazeydays, The Shackles, False Friends, Cody Feechan, Connor Fyfe, Kendama and The Links.

Also on-site for the weekend is a silent disco, street food, a kids zone and a funfair.

John Richardson, event director, said: "We were over the moon to have been awarded Best Scottish Outdoor Event last year, beating some more famous names, but it adds a little extra pressure to deliver the same level again this year.

"Both days are a little bit different - Saturday sees one of our biggest ever headliners take to the main stage: Manic Street Preachers and there is a strong local supporting cast with The Snuts, Luke La Volpe and Mark Sharp and The Bicycle Thieves.

"As always, Sunday is pretty much an all-day party. Toe-tapping and head nodding to start with Brand New Heavies and Peat and Diesel, building up to a full foot-stomping, hands-in-the-air finale with Hot Dub Time Machine and the legendary OMD."

The two-day festival takes place on Saturday and Sunday, August 8-9, 2020.
