SHOPPERS in the Wee County, Stirling and Perthshire will get to decide on the most deserving causes in line for a share of a £100,000 funding pot.

Tesco looks to celebrate its centenary with a special round of Bags of Help funding, this month concentrating on organisations that tackle cancer, heart disease and diabetes.

For instance, in Alloa customers will use their blue tokens to vote for either Blood Bikes Scotland, Maggie’s or Over the Wall.

There will, later in the year, be another special round with even more projects sharing the cash.

Alec Brown, head of community at Tesco, said: “In 2019, we are celebrating a century of delivering great value for our customers.

“And what better way to celebrate this occasion than by using our flagship community grant scheme, Bags of Help to support even more groups and organisations who are helping to make a difference across Britain.

“We encourage our shoppers to register their votes while in store and help support projects delivering health and wellbeing benefits in their local area.”
