STEVIE McCRORIE has hailed the sell-out crowd at Alloa Town Hall for delivering another special night on Friday.

The Alva man was blown away, yet again, as his home county fans came out in their droves for another full house set.

Performing songs from his album and recent EP, he treated the crowd to some well-known favourites and the odd surprise.

It is the second year in a row that he has sold out the venue, but the memory of last weekend's show is one likely to live on for the singer.

He told the Advertiser: "The gig was amazing; I think it went better than the last time at the town hall.

"I feel every headline show I do the crowd get better and I'm just so thankful for it.

"At one point in the show I do a bit of a stripped-back set where it's just me and the acoustic: I could hear the full crowd singing back at some point. That was a special moment.

"I must have over-thanked everyone who came out, but I don't care. I want them to know how much it means to me. I really appreciate every one of them; without them, it's obviously not possible."

There is likely more to come from Stevie this year, if the success of the town hall show is anything to go by.

Indeed, he is considering another return to Alloa next year in the hopes of making it a hat-trick of sell-outs.

He added: "It never ceases to surprise me. When I walked out and heard the crowd cheering and singing along it just made me think: 'This is why it's all worth it'.

"The show was just amazing. Hopefully, I can do it again for a third sell out in a row."

Stevie also hinted at further headline dates in the near future, with an announcement expected this week or next.
