THE heartbroken family of tragic schoolgirl Paige Doherty has slammed a troll who claimed she was murdered for her "sins".

David Orr took to Facebook after a documentary on the teenager's murder was aired on Channel 5.

In a post which has sparked outrage across the social media channel, he wrote: "God sent John Leathem to kill Paige Doherty for her unrepentant sins.

"It is simultaneously a warning to all who are alive and remain - Repent!

"Suppose ye that she was a sinner more than you? Christ said "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."

The 15-year-old's furious family hit back at the Paisley man.

Her aunt Gillian Connelly wrote: "Are you for real?

"That's my f****** niece you're talking about!

"God has another way of dealing with scum that hide behind keyboards, it's called karma".

While the Clydebank teen's cousin Niamh Keenan added: "What a horrible b******!

"Who even are you? Just as well we don't listen to vile comments like these."

The post also caught the attention of Paige's devastated mum Pamela Munro.

She responded: "It's disgusting.

"Let's hope he isn't subject to trolls due to his horrific comments."
