JUNIOR runners are being invited to a race at Cultybraggan Camp in Comrie.

The event is being organised by the Strathearn Harriers and will see competitions in a variety of different age groups on February 5.

All open to both girls and boys, there will be an U11 race over a distance of around a mile, the U13 event will be 1.7miles, the U15's contest will be over 3.1miles and the U17 will be challenged by a 3.3mile heat.

The U15 and U17 girls and boys will be going head-to-head in a combined race with organisers saying the event promises to be fun for all youngsters who enjoy running and fancy a bit of challenge in the mud.

Taking place on the Comrie Development Trust land across the road from the camp, the first race will start at 10.10am with registration at Hut 41 in the camp from 9.15am.

Entry fee is £2 and includes post-race refreshments. Registering beforehand is not essential, people are welcome to just turn up on the day.
