A STRATHEARN school recently held the grand opening of its multi-activity path.

The event at Madderty Primary School was held on Tuesday, December 20, with pupils, parents, staff and guests.

Emily Greaves, the local active schools co-ordinator, cut the ribbon and declared the path officially open while those attending enjoyed a wake-up-shake-up-warm-up, a daily mile walk and seven laps of running, hopping, jogging and walking the new path, before a relaxing cool down.

A hearty and healthy breakfast, provided by Tayside Contracts, was then enjoyed by all before a presentation about the benefits of walking a mile a day by the Healthy Action Group.
