A 33-year-old woman has been charged in connection with last week’s Perth ATM assault and police thanked the public for its help with the case.

As the Times reported, an assault and attempted robbery took place on the Fair City’s South Street at a cash machine when the alleged culprit attacked a 21-year-old woman and demanded money from her on Sunday 26 July.

The incident happened near the junction of King Street and County Place sometime just after 7pm. The 33-year-old appeared at Perth Sheriff Court on Monday (3 August).

Police Scotland thanked the public who called with information that led to the apprehension of the suspect.
