Stuart Leishman, part-owner of country kitchen and restaurant The Loft in Blair Atholl, visited Perth College UHI to work alongside hospitality students in the Training Restaurant.

Using his time at the college to advice the students and recruit new talent for his business, Stuart said: “Working alongside hospitality students offers head chefs the best way to understand their skill level. I want to offer the students an opportunity to work in the hospitality industry, where they would gain valuable experience and also boost their confidence levels.” Stuart studied HNC Professional Cookery and then HND Hospitality Management at Perth College UHI. Following this he gained valuable industry experience before opening his own restaurant with his partner.
