ALLOA were pegged back late on in the opening day fixture against Raith Rovers on Saturday.

Midfielder Kevin Cawley opened the scoring, but Jim Goodwin's side were forced to settle for a point, due to a late equaliser

Here's how the Wasps players rated on the day:

Neil Parry.....................8
Made a number of excellent saves throughout and commanded his area well. Kept Alloa in with a shout.

Scott Taggart..........8 (STAR MAN)
Alloa’s most dangerous player. His surging runs and crossing were a constant threat. Set up the opener.

Callum Crane...............7
An excellent debut for the young Hibs loanee. Only met his team-mates an hour and a half before kick-off but slotted straight in with ease.

Andy Graham..............8
Alloa’s captain never fails to impress. Won almost everything on the ground and in the air, and led a well-organised unit at the back.

Daryll Meggatt............7
Seems to have become one of the first names on the teamsheet and is starting to show why. Another accomplished display.

Jon Robertson............7
Has started the season really well and was influential again. Has a real eye for a pass.

Kevin Cawley..............8
One of the most entertaining players Alloa have had in recent times. Looked to have won the game with a superb strike.

Iain Flannigan.............7
Went close with a couple of decent efforts. Is playing a deeper role than he has in recent seasons but has adapted well so far.

Craig Malcolm.............7
Not a bad display at all on his return from injury. His physicality caused Raith all sorts of bother. His first Wasps goal can’t be far away.

Garry Fleming.............6
Playing just off Malcolm, Fleming had a fairly quiet afternoon but still showed some nice link-up play. Squandered a good opportunity to make it 2-0.

Alan Cook...................6
His pace is a real asset and he looked dangerous on the break. The final ball wasn’t always there but that will come.

Kris Renton.................6
Won most of his aerial battles but by the time he came on Alloa were under the cosh, and as a result Renton found himself isolated.

Steven Hetherington......6
On in an effort to shore up the middle of the park. Strung together some nice passes.

Adam Martin................6
Caused Rovers problems with his direct play when he came on, winning a free kick which almost led to a second goal.
