DESPITE the cold winter mornings, the weather didn’t stop the children take part in the cross country cluster events held in Killin and Aberfoyle last week.
The annual events hosted by Active Stirling and led by Alison Grey, athletics development officer, pulled off a fantastic two days with over 100 children attending and running over the two days.
Overall winners were Aberfoyle who gave a clean sweep with 6 minutes 1 second from winning boy, and 7minutes 1 second from our winning girl, and again for Thursday’s winners in Killin, with 7 minutes 17 seconds for the boys race and 7 minutes 48 seconds for the girls race on a slightly more challenging course.
Active Stirling would like to thank all the Primary Schools – Thornhill, Port of Menteith, Gartmore, Aberfoyle, Kincardine, Strathyre, Crainlarich, Killin – for taking part.
