THE MEDAL Final saw the qualifiers from monthly and midweek medals throughout the season at Dunblane New Golf Club compete for the long established medals.

The scratch medal went to Craig McGann with a three over par 72, including birdies at four, five, nine and 11.

In the first class the winner was John Brailsford (7) on 69 highlighted by a birdie at 10.

Brendon Connolly (21) lifted the second class medal on 70 with Stuart Brown (16) winning the third class on 68 despite starting with a triple bogey seven.

In the medal run alongside the medal final the best scratch score was returned by Gordon Whitelaw with a 72, having started with a birdie, and BIH than Craig McGann.

The first class was won by Alan Kerr (10) on 67 finishing with a birdie at 18 for a BIH than Derek Cullen (8). Third place went to Jack Gater (7) on 68 including birdies at eight and 12 despite having dropped six shots over the first four holes. John Brailsford (7) was fourth on 69.

Pat Monaghan (14) won the second class on 65 including a birdie at four. Runner up was Jack Blair (12) on 66 with birdies at six, 12 and 13 but then finishing with five bogeys. Stuart Brown (16) was third on 68 with George Scott (15) fourth on 69 and BIH than Ian Kenny (14) and Gavin Brown (14), despite a triple bogey at 17 and after an ugly eight at eight.

With the best score of the day Bob Turner (18) won the third class on 64 including birdies at 13 and 16. Runner up was Rod Matheson (20) on 69. Brendon Connolly (21) was then third on 70 and BIH than Antony Pilkington (17) who in turn had a BIH than Bill Dickson (19).

On Sunday 12 pairings played in the Jubilee Trophy a mixed foursomes in preparation for the monthly Winter mixed competitions.

Runaway winners were John Rankin and Jill Montgomery (15.5) on 65.5, including birdies at five` and 12, and 8.5 shots ahead of the field. Runners up were Colin Gibson and Angela Crossland (22) on 74 with Roddy Morrison and Laura Lee (16.5) third on 74.5.
