IT LOOKS like a tight scoreline but Milton should've been in easy Street.

Milton started the game very brightly and in only the fifth minute Taylor had a shot well saved. Minutes. later Reid set up Taylor who was very unlucky when his effort went narrowly past the post. At this stage Bearsden could hardly get the ball into the Milton half.

Milton were finally rewarded after Taylor was upended in the box and Whiteford scored from the resultant penalty. Against the run of play and poor defending Bearsden equalised. Milton took the lead again with a fine headed goal from fit again Mathew Cooper.

Taylor scored Milton's 3rd goal just after the break after brilliant play from Reid. With 20 minutes left Shaddick was brought down in the box and Whiteford scored his second and Milton's fourth goal.

A couple of dreadful errors in the last 15 minutes allowed Bearsden back into the match but Milton got the three points they definitely deserved.

This Saturday Milton are away to Windlaw AFC in the West Cup.

The club ran a very successful race night. A massive thanks to everyone who bought horses, sponsored races and attended the event. Thanks in particular to our friends from Bannockburn rugby club who came and contributed to our fund raising night.
