Rangers fans have have fumed at their ex-player Carlos Peña as he seemed to take one last swipe at the Ibrox club  - by wiping his nose on a pair of Gers shorts.

The midfielder was filmed by Mexican media as he arrived to undergo a medical with ex-Ibrox boss Pedro Caixinha’s new club Cruz Azul.

In a clip going viral online, Peña is seen walking through a car park continuously wiping his nose on the shorts while surrounded by reporters.

“Carlos Pena, what can I say. The guy was a dud and rubbing his nose on Rangers shorts was just totally disrespectful. That’s what you use tissues for ya t*t,” one Gers fan hit out on Twitter.

Another added: “F**k Carlos Pena, wiping his nose on Rangers shorts? P***k.”

“Carlos Pena has taken a pair of Rangers shorts to Mexico and wiped his nose with them? WTF?” was another comment to have emerged.

Peña, 27, has returned to Mexico as Rangers manager Graeme Murty continued to reshape his squad.

Peña could be the highest profile departure of the January transfer window for Rangers as he links back up with Caixinha once again on a one-year loan deal.

The Mexican failed to make an impact in Light Blue and headed for the exit door just months after putting pen-to-paper on a three-year deal.

Caixinha targeted the midfielder after taking over as manager of Cruz Azul on December 5.
