A CELTIC fan group has paid tribute to tragic Hoops fan Reamonn Gormley on what would have been his 26th birthday.

The Thai Tims, who are a cult hit with fans after picking up English by
learning to sing Celtic songs, said the popular Blantyre lad is "always in their thoughts".

Glasgow Times:

Reamonn was knifed to death while walking home from a pub in Blantyre in 2011.

He was stabbed three times for refusing to hand over his wallet and mobile phone.

Daryn Maxwell, 23, was jailed for 19 years for the murder while Barry Smith, 19, was locked up for eight years and three months after pleading guilty to culpable homicide.

Student Reamonn, who was just 19 when he died, taught kids in
Thailand for three months while travelling during a gap year in 2010.

The Thai Tims shared in image of Reamonn on their social media and said: "Reamonn Gormley would have been 26 today. Always in our thoughts. You Never Walk Alone."

Fans responded in their hundreds to the poignant tribute.

Pat Burn said on the social media website Twitter: "A wonderful boy, doing wonderful work, taken from us. Our thoughts and prayers with his family, friends and 'his' Thai Tims."
