AN ALVA man fraudulently picked up his partner's prescription medication when she was in prison.

Christopher Perry used a bogus letter which stated his partner wanted him to collect the medication from her pharmacy.

Perry, of The Wynd, appeared for sentencing at Alloa Sheriff Court.

The 45-year-old admitted that on February 20, last year, at Holm Pharm, Alva, he pretended that a letter from his partner was stating that he was allowed to collect a prescription from her medication and obtained prescribed medication by fraud.

Depute fiscal Sarah Smith said Perry had been picking up the medication when his partner was in prison.

A member of staff had been informed about the situation by the woman's sister and confronted Perry.

Perry's position was that he was bullied by others into obtaining the medication.

Sheriff Neil Bowie imposed a structured deferred sentence for six months and an 80-day restriction of liberty order.
