AN ELDERLY woman has died following a road collision near Tullibody.
The 65-year-old pedestrian was struck down on the A907 Alloa Road near to the Blackgrange Roundabout on Sunday, March 3 at around 7.45pm.
Officers are now appealing for information on the incident, which involved a white Volkswagen Tiguan.
The driver of the vehicle was uninjured, while the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin has been informed.
The road was closed for around eight hours on Sunday while officers carried out collision investigation.
Inspector Andrew Thomson, of Police Scotland’s Road Policing Unit, said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this incident and our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who died.
“I would like to thank the members of the public who stopped at the scene.
“I would also be keen to speak to anyone who was travelling on this road who may have seen the female before the collision or has dashcam footage to get in touch.”
