AN AUTHOR paid a visit to schools across Scotland as part of the Inclusive Stories Tour, with Clacks being one of the stops.

Lisette Auton, an award-winning poet, stopped by schools in Clackmannanshire, Stirling, Perth and Kinross for a series of joyful events with the children.

Organised by the Scottish Book Trust, Lisette got to speak to the children and hopefully grow their passion for reading.

In a post on Facebook detailing the trips, the Scottish Book Trust said: “Last week, as part of the Inclusive Stories Tour, we took author Lisette Auton to schools across Clackmannanshire, Perth and Kinross and Stirling for a series of joyful and inspiring events.

“The importance of representation in books was at the heart of the tour as Lisette shared the inspiration behind her latest work, The Secret of Haven Point, and took the pupils on a journey of her varied creative career.

“A huge thanks to Lisette for joining us and to all the participating schools who made the tour a roaring success!”
