A CLACKS steel band will be hosting a steel pan workshop as they continue to celebrate their 10th anniversary.
Saltire Steel, the Wee County’s very own steel band, will be offering people the chance to try their hand at playing the Trinidadian instrument/
The band have been busy celebrating their 10th anniversary year, with grand shows at Alva Fun Day, Menstrie’s Music in The Park, Sparks in the Park and even further afield as far as the Strathaven Balloon Fesitval.
Saltire Steel also paid a visit to the capital as they performed a show on the Mound at the Edinburgh Fringe Fesitval.
Now, they will be hosting a fun and interactive two hour workshop, including history on the steel instruments, an opportunity to play different pans and by the end of the workshop, participants will be able to string a tune together.
