A WOMAN has appeared in court charged with the murder of charity worker Annalise Johnstone at the Maggie Wall Memorial near Dunning.

Angela Newlands, 28, is the second person to be implicated after the victim's brother was arrested earlier this year.

She appeared at Perth Sheriff Court on Friday last week and was remanded in custody.

Both she and Jordan Johnstone, 24, are alleged to have murdered Miss Johnstone, 22, at the memorial along the B8062 between Auchterarder and Dunning on May 9 or 10 this year.

It is believed the victim was stabbed or slashed in the neck.

The body of Annalise was later found in a nearby woods.
