VISITORS will have the chance to ride miniature trains at Wester Pickston Railway this weekend with the Scottish Model Engineering Trust.

It will be the final open day for 2018 at Glenalmond this Sunday, August 26, when visitors will be welcome between 11.30am and 4pm.

The track has recently been expanded and lengthened for the quarter scale traction engines and steam lorries.

There is even a new tunnel and people will have the chance to find out what the volunteers have been up to in recent weeks in their drive to preserve Scotland’s proud engineering heritage.

Get to the railway by turning onto College Road from the A85 opposite the Post Office in Methven – it is around three miles north with roadside sign showing the way on the day.
