IS it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s a super dog.

Teddy, a Dogs Trust Glasgow resident is all set to rescue the lives of potential dog owners in need of a canine hero to brighten up their world.

Five-year-old Jack Russell Terrier Teddy, known by canine carers as Super Teddy, is pulling no punches to find his special someone. He has a full range of special abilities that make him the perfect family pet – he loves to run and play; enjoys agility; is very clever and his determination to get a treat is as strong as steel. Canine carers have been having lots of fun with Teddy, helping him showcase his talents and are looking for a special home with owners who can make training fun for Teddy.

Sandra Lawton, rehoming centre manager at Dogs Trust Glasgow, said: "We call him Super Teddy at the Rehoming Centre because he reminds us of a miniature version of Superman’s dog Krypto; only Teddy is probably much faster. He has a lot of energy as there is always a lot to do and see here at the centre, however whenever he is in the company of his favourite human companions he becomes much more settled.

“Teddy has been with us for three years and has built up such a bond with our staff. We would love nothing more than to see him find a home soon. He is such a loveable character and will make the perfect companion for the right home. He is always on the go and would love to find a family who will keep him mentally and physically stimulated.”

Teddy is fully house-trained and loves learning new tricks, so he will definitely keep potential owners on their toes. He would prefer to be the only pet in the household and can live with children over the age of 16.

In order to build up a bond with Super Ted, potential owners should be willing to meet him a few times at the Rehoming Centre. Are you holding on for a hero and think Teddy could be the one?
