RESURFACING works will take place overnight at two locations near Broxden Roundabout on the M90.

The £160,000 worth of works will be carried out on the slip road at Craigend from Friarton Bridge towards the roundabout as well as at a section of the southbound carriageway near Cherrybank.

The slip road at the Craigend Interchange will be closed overnight on Wednesday and Thursday (March 14 and 15) from 7.30pm to 6.30am.

A section of the M90 southbound carriageway will be resurfaced over Thursday night (March 15) with the full road closed between 7.30pm and 6am. Southbound vehicles will be diverted off the M90 at Broxden Roundabout, then via the A93 (Glasgow Road), York Place, South Street and A85 (Dundee Road) to re-join the M90 at Barnhill Interchange.

Andy Thompson, BEAR Scotland North East representative, said: “These works will repair a number of cracks, potholes and other issues which will improve the general condition and safety of the road for motorists.

“The resurfacing works need to be completed under road closures for safety reasons, however, we’ve arranged for the works to place overnight and to limit the impact to road users as much as possible.

“Our teams will do all they can to complete the works as quickly and safely as possible, however, we encourage road users to plan their journeys in advance and allow some extra time to reach their destination.”
