THOSE who missed out on the summer festival scene have one last chance to dig out the wellies and flowery headbands for Midstock next month.

The two-day (Fri-Sat) event, in Dalkeith Country Park, will showcase a range of artists - including the Wee County's Stevie McCrorie on the Saturday.

Fresh from his main stage billing at Party at the Palace recently, the Alva singer will once again be mixing it up with the big summer crowds.

Topping the Saturday bill, however, are Feeder - the veterans who have been a favourite among indy rock fans for the past 20 years.

Organisers recently announced an extra night had been added, with Judge Jules and Darren Styles joining the legendary TTF who are headlining the Friday night show.

Organisers Wullie Slight and Scott Gunn released a statement saying: “We have been encouraged by the great crowd we attract at Midstock and we are continually trying to grow and improve the festival, hence the addition of the Friday night show.

"Midstock is an independent, bespoke festival which we started in order to provide the Lothians community with a great event on their doorsteps.

"This is still at the core of what we’re trying to do but we have seen the festival expand somewhat and we’ve welcomed people from all over the country in the last couple of years. Maybe word is out that we like a good party here in Midlothian.”
