SAUCHIE Community Group Choir has been hitting all the right notes.
The choir, which was started just over 18 months ago, has seen its membership more than double and continues to grow in popularity with appearances at events across the county.
It runs an open door policy where anyone can go along and join in, with no need for auditions. Members meet in the Sauchie Resource Centre every Wednesday between 7-8.30pm.
The success of the choir has resulted in Sauchie Community Group adding a singing and music evening, where people can go along and play an instrument or sing along to songs, in a relaxed, welcoming, non-judgemental environment. The group meets on a Monday night in the Sauchie Resource Centre between 7-9pm.
Craig Miller, Sauchie community manager and choir master, said: "The choir just loves all these opportunities to perform. It’s been so rewarding to see their confidence grow at the same time as their abilities.
“What started out as a small group wanting to sing some Christmas Carols has grown enormously. The men and women in the choir are so enthusiastic and hardworking."
