HONEYBLOOD has been added to Carnival Fifty Six's already amazing line-up.

Describing their tight sound as crunch-pop, the Glasgow duo of Stina Marie Claire Tweeddale (guitar/vocals) and Cat Myers (drums) were behind one of 2016’s best guitar albums, Babes Never Die.

Festival director Craig Blyth said: "We are really happy to be welcoming Honeyblood to the festival this summer.

"They join a line-up already heaving-with-quality and are a great addition."

The stages for the Dundee event have been named, further shaping the personality of the festival.

Capturing the carnival theme, 'Mardi Gras' will stage headliners Mark Ronson and Rudimental along with others including special guests The Fratellis, Clean Bandit, Be Charlotte and Elle Exxe.

The Rhumba Club/Festival of House big top will host some of the biggest and best names devoted to the electronic genre. The mighty Basement Jaxx headline on the Saturday with an unmissable DJ set and are joined by Hot Chip, Dave Seaman, Harri & Domenic and many other local turntable talents.

The Jam Live stage is devoted to all things indie and guitar-based with the likes of Prides and the Van T's set to appear, whilst the Discovery stage promises smiles and swagger in equal measure with a stellar comedy line-up by day and a rousing rock-out by night.

The top tunage continues in The Tree House as The Reading Rooms assume headline duties both days.

Craig added: "Announcing the stage names is another important milestone as we countdown to August and start to get into the details that will make Carnival Fifty Six unmissable."

The stage-splits have been revealed, which will give fans plenty of time to plan their must-sees across the weekend.

A whole host of delicious culinary stars from across the UK will also be setting up stalls in Camperdown Country Park.
