STIRLING Gin has signed an exclusive five-figure deal to supply its unique wild nettle infused gin to The Great Run Company.

The agreement will see the Stirling-based company supply its craft gin at eight of The Great Run Company’s events on either side of the border, including the blue ribbon Great North Run – which was established in 1981 and is now the biggest half-marathon race in the world.

Stirling Gin co-owner Cameron McCann said: “Stirling Gin is delighted to be coming on board with The Great Run Company as their craft gin supplier.

“The deal will cover supply of all The Great Run Company’s major events and we are particularly excited about the prospect of supplying Stirling Gin to spectators, officials, and runners at the Great North Run.”

Jennifer Isaac, The Great Run Company director, revealed that Stirling Gin’s elevation to the company’s official craft gin supplier came after a successful run-out at the Stirling Marathon in spring 2017.

Jennifer said: “We were keen to trial Stirling Gin as our after-event gin for last year’s Stirling Marathon and the feedback was universally positive and I am delighted to say that positivity was repeated recently at the Great Edinburgh Winter Run.

“Given Stirling Gin’s popularity with all and sundry we had no hesitation in reaching an agreement with the company to supply our events in 2018 on either side of the border spanning Aberdeen, Stirling and, of course, The Great North Run.”

This deal comes hot on the heels of another five-figure agreement that saw Stirling Gin become sole supplier of its distinctive premium drink to ScotRail on the network’s Scottish trolley services.
